GRANTS
Variety WA is able to support numerous organisations and individuals through our grants process. All requests for assistance are carefully and thoughtfully considered by our volunteer Grants committees, and where appropriate, by our honorary medical advisers. When a grant is approved, Variety WA makes payment direct to the supplier of the equipment or service and the emphasis is to support the communities in which the money was raised.
The general grants fund supports projects both large and small to improve the quality of life for our sick, special needs and disadvantaged children. Grants supported include wheelchairs, communications devices and special equipment or toys for special needs children, medical equipment and facilities in hospitals, equipment for remote schools and recreation programmes for special needs children.
